Yarn
Yarn one of best material for textile with out yarn can not be made fabric to garments. Yarn may be defined as a liner assemblage of fiber or filament formed into a continuous strand, having textile like characterizes referred to include good tensile strength & high quality.
Types of yarn:
There are five types of yarn:
1.Single yarn
- Spun yarn
-Blended.
- Continuous yarn
-Multi filament.
- Modified continuous filament
3.Cabled yarn.
4.Fancy Yarn.
5.Complex yarn.
Single Yarn:-
The single yarn is the simplest continuous stand of textile material composed of more of the following:
Spun yarn:
Yarn in which the number discontinuous fibre are held together by twist is called spun yarn .It is two type:
Homogeneous: Where are spun from only one types of fibre are used.
Ex. 100% cotton, 100% Jute 100% polyester ect.
Blended: The spun which is came from more then two kind of fibre is called blended.
Example: Cotton polyester blended, cotton jute blended ect.
Continuous filament yarn: It is the simplest structure but can be subjected to many modify process for changing their texture, excitability, bulk and other properties. It is two types:
- Mono-filament: Which is containing one filament.
- Multi-filament: which is containing two or more filament.
Multi folded yarn:
It is made by twisting together two or single yarn.
Example: Sewing thread.
Cabled Yarn:
It is made by twisting together two or more multi-folded yarn.
Example: Cords.
Fancy yarn:
Fancy yarn one of the decorative interest. it is made by introducing spiral from on irregular or hairiness into either spun continuous filament yarn.
Example: Loop yarn, slub yarn., spiral yarn.
Complex yarn: In this yarn either continuous filament core is surrounded by staple fiber or a spun yarn core is surrounded by continuous filament.
Example: Core spun.
