Garments finishing is a very important section of the RMG sector. Its last section for garments manufacturing. The section can be improved quality of garments. finishing section can be added value to the product which attracts the customer.

Finishing Flow Chart:

The finishing flow chart is very dependable on the layout of the production line and the product that is needed. It can be very factory to factory and product to product. Here It is:-

Garments Input (color, size & style-wise): In this stage, the body comes from the sewing section by way of per color, style or size to finishing section as an input.  

Thread Sucking: Here finishing input is brought in touch of thread sucking machine to remove the loose thread from the body.

Initial Iron: In this stage, garments are being ironed and close all the button of the garments for helping further step easier.

Quality Check: Here body is inspected by a quality inspection to check if there any swing, washing, or any other faults that exist in the garments. If found, the garments are sent to the repair section or defective garments are declared as reject. Here 100% quality check is done. 

Sends the body to get Up change: In this stage, an inspector ensures the garments get up is okay or not. 

Body inspection: An inspection randomly inspection some number of garments to ensure the measurement is correct or not, quality checking has been done properly or not, initial ironing as per requirements or not.  
Iron: Here, garments are ironed properly for folding as per buyer‟s requirements. 

Folding: After the ironing of the garments, the garments are being folded in the way buyer direction. 

Accessories Attachment: Here, accessories like hang tag, security tag, collar stand, butterfly, etc. are attached before poly the garments.

Poly: In this stage, garments are being poly to protect the garments from dust as well as to ensure the garments be safe in the cartoon.  

Cartoon: According to the packing list, after being poly the garments, garments are being cartooned for shipment. 

Final inspection: In this stage, the buyer‟s represent inspect the garments based on AQL label to ensure the garments are as per spec sheet or not, 

Shipment: Garments inspection is passed, the garments are ready for shipment.

In Finishing section Ironing and Quality Inspection Department:

Major work done on this department:
  1. Ironing
  2. Spot Removing
  3. Quality Check
  4.  Sewing Check
  5. Printing Check
  6.  Label Check
  7. Size Label Check
  8.  Measurement Check
  9.  Final Inspection before Packing
List of major defects found in the finishing section:
  1.  All labels missing.
  2. Uncut Sewing Thread.
  3. Wrong color.
  4.  Hole in fabric Damage
  5. Conspicuous repair
  6. Poor construction
  7.  Conspicuous silage. (inside or outside)
  8. Conspicuous abrasion marks from the wash process
  9.  High/ low pockets
  10. Buttons, snap defect 
  11. Button hole raveling.
  12. Incomplete not cut properly
  13. Miss aligned
  14. Sizing problem
  15. Poorly trimmed garments threads
  16. Broken stitches
  17. Skipped stitches
  18.  Open seam 

Remark: The finishing Section act as the finisher of the garments manufacturing. It's one part of RMG.
