How to arrive at critical analysis of Basic Shirt

There are 14 basic components of shirt.every years the bangladesh are earning lot of export money from basic shirt that rather impotent garment for us.a shirt most impotent for wearing  and fashioning. shirt is most popular garment around the planet.

Basic shirt

Fabric Consumption:

shirt length - 72 cm.

chest - 54 cm

pocket length - 13 cm

pocket width - 12 cm

shoulder across - 43 cm

yoke length - 6.5 cm

arm hole straight - 25 cm 

sleeve length - 64 cm

collar point - 41 cm
collar brand length - 42.5 cm

For body section (A):

(body length + allowance) ( half chest + allowance)*2

= (72+5) (54+4)*2
=8932 cm*cm

For sleeve section (B):

(sleeve length + allowance) ( arm hole straight + allowance)*2*2
=(64+4) (25+3)*4
=7616 cm*cm

For collar section (C):

( collar brand length + allowance) ( collar point + allowance)*2
=(42.5+3) (41+2)*2
=3913 cm*cm

For pocket section (D):

=(pocket length + allowance) ( pocket width + allowance)
=(13+2) ( 12+1)
=195 cm*cm

For yoke (E):

(shoulder across+ allowance ) (yoke height + allowance)
=(43+2) (6.5+1)
=382.5 cm*cm

if the fabric width 44 inch that will convert into cm.

=44*2.54 cm
=111.76 cm

The Fabric required

= A+B+C+D+E
=(8932+7616+3613+195+382.5)cm*cm
=20738.5 cm*cm / 111.76 cm
=185.57 cm
=1.85 m
=2.02 yds.( its a double XL shirt).

Thread consumption:

for thread consumption we has to know stitch density for each stitch class. its very impotent to know per inch how many stitch  require. at fast we will measure each total stitch length .

lock stitch

=45*2.5
=111 inch

chain stitch

=15*8
=119 inch

over lock
=104 *24 (5 threads)
=2496 inch

flat lock
=45*19
=855 inch

Button hole

=8*2
=16 Inch

Button Attached
=5*2
=10 inch

Total tread required:

=(111+119+2496+855+!6+10) inch
=109 m + wastes 5%
=115 m.

Seam & stitch analysis:

side seam

stitch- class - 100(chain stitch)
seam- class-1 (super imposed)

Heam 

stitch- class -400(multi chain stitch)
seam- class-6 (edge neatening)

Cuff

stitch- class -100(chain stitch)
seam- class-1 (super imposed)

shoulder

stitch- class - 100(chain stitch)
seam- class-1 (super imposed)

stitch- class - 300(lock stitch)
seam- class-7 (apply sea)

Wash Analysis:

Generally Basic shirt had done the normal wash or garment wash. Normal wash demand for basic shirt. if the fabrics  are denim or jeans then the wash will be done according to buyer specification.
